A Specialized Spanish > English Linguist
I am a Spanish > English linguist based in Cuenca, Ecuador, providing professional translation services to a select group of clients around the world. As a freelance translator, my job is to recreate the true meaning and intention of Spanish documents in accurate and appropriately phrased English translations. With a Master’s degree in translation studies and over a decade of full time translation experience, the service that I offer is based on knowledge of industry-specific terminology, strong writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
My specialties include legal, financial, pharmaceutical, and clinical research translation, and since 2004 I have translated over 5 million words (equivalent to 15,000 pages) of Spanish text into English in these and other fields, including everything from flight training manuals for a major European aircraft manufacturing consortium to a book on Spanish cinema for a university in California. I work hard to maintain a reputation for consistently producing publication-quality texts under tight deadlines and over 95% of my business comes from long-term relationships with the most prestigious LSPs (Language Service Providers) in the industry.
